Restaurant & Bar Design Awards – Winners

We are delighted that both Mr Fogg’s and One Canada Square are winners in The Restaurant & Bar Design AwardsThe judging panel includes Gillian de Bono, editor in chief FT How to Spend It, and Claus Senderlinger, CEO & Founder Design Hotels.

Working with design studio d-raw, we were led into the creation of an eccentric world, Mr Fogg’s, resplendent with palm trees, birdcages and even a hot air balloon. In the heart of Mayfair, it was inspired by the travels of the Victorian literary adventurer Phileas Fogg.  Benchmark, almost like a one stop shop, was commissioned to develop the furniture & fittings throughout, including copper bar, oak panelling, and Chesterfield style seating. Rich and luxurious materials appear throughout from antique bevelled mirrors, buttoned velvet, and ‘crocodiles’ skin. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Designed by David Collins studio One Canada Square, has a focal point of our 6 metre bar for the lobby area. Made by our onsite specialist metal workshop, it has a polished pewter top with moulded edge and polished pewter ship lapped front panels. It is part of Tom & Ed Martin’s renowned ETM Group. It’s a beauty.

We have a 50 strong team in over 40,000 sq ft of workshops for timber milling, carpentry, veneering, spray shops, metalworking, and in-house upholstery, as well as design studio and showroom.  We have the capability and experience to take a sketch drawing, and translate this into a deliverable product. This combines in-depth understanding of engineering, design resolution and detailed knowledge of timber and process.
