Clerkenwell Design Week: for the love of making
We’re busy getting organised for next week’s Clerkenwell Design Week . We’re returning to the Design Factory in the Farmiloe Building with several pieces that we have developed for a new work environment.
We’ve been seeing a considerable shift in the sort of workplace that companies want to offer. Our clients have been focusing on communal areas, engagement space, hot desking and stand-out pieces of furniture for places where people can come together and collaborate, forming a close-knit family rather than co-workers. We’ve used the best natural materials to create pieces with tactility and soul designed to encourage conversation, conviviality and the best creative problem solving.
TAKE TIME FOR TEA AND TO TALK
For the exhibition we’ve joined up with our neighbours to our Dorset workshop, tea merchants Comins Tea, lovely people who travel the world to source fine single estate tea. They believe in tea as a connector, a way to slow people and conversation down and encourage consideration and exchange of ideas.
JOIN US FOR BEER & SAUSAGES
As the evening draws in we will be cracking open the kegs from our local organic brewery Butts, cooking up sausages made from Sean’s own pigs and serving Dorset Oysters (Tuesday and Wednesday from 6pm).
