A Professional Development Day for Interior Designers

Benchmark, Fermoie and Secto Design invite Interior Designers to a day of talks, discussions and hands-on activities on wood, fabric and light on 9 July 2014.

Programme of Talks

Sean Sutcliffe from Benchmark will host a discussion on the technical properties , sustainability, finishing and care and maintenance of different species of wood.

Tom Helme from Fermoie will talk about colour in paint and printed textiles.  The discussion will centre on a portfolio of colour paint samples made by John Fowler  of Colefax & Fowler for his work for The National Trust.

Secto Design Pekka Strommer will introduce LED light source and demystify the jargon and mythology surround LED technology, covering how to specify LED lighting.

Travel Arrangements

Benchmark is situated between Newbury and Hungerford and is easily accessible from the M4 (View Map). If travelling by train from London there is a direct line from Paddington to Kintbury.  There will be courtesy cars at Kintbury Station meeting the 9.18am train from London, arriving 10.17am. Return transport to the station will be available as required.



Numbers are limited to 50 and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
